Ruby & Tyron – Tweed Coast Wedding
A cyclone, a postponement, and the perfect wedding day!
If there’s one thing I’ve learned as a Tweed Coast wedding photographer, it’s that no two weddings are ever the same. Ruby & Tyron’s journey to the altar proved just that.
Their dream wedding at Summergrove Estate was set to be a picturesque celebration of love, laughter, and stunning scenery however Mother Nature had other plans—specifically, a cyclone that made their original wedding date impossible from occurring. With resilience that could put seasoned event planners to shame, Ruby & Tyron embraced the unexpected challenge and postponed their wedding by a month, and honestly, it only made their big day that much sweeter.
From our very first conversation, I knew these two lovers were going to be a blast to work with. Their warm, easy-going personalities made it feel like we’d known each other for years. Having gone through the emotional rollercoaster of postponing their wedding, I was determined to make their wedding photography experience unforgettable.
And let me tell you—it was worth the wait.
The morning of their rescheduled wedding arrived with perfect blue skies—a poetic contrast to the storm that had once threatened their day. Every detail was flawlessly executed, thanks to an incredible team of wedding suppliers. One of the standouts was seeing my all-time favorite celebrant (and bestie!) Clarah Luxford in action. She brought her signature warmth and humor, and throughout the ceremony had everyone rolling between laughter & tears.
From heartfelt vows to spontaneous bursts of laughter, this wedding overflowed with love and energy. As a Wedding Photographer, you dream of these kinds of days. I truly didn’t want to leave at the end of the night—I may or may not have been gently nudged out the door by the bride herself haha!
And just when I thought the day couldn’t get any more magical, it ended with an incredible fireworks display! A fittingly grand finale for such a vibrant couple.
